Nokia 7900 Prism Review – Beautiful Build and Features

There are three phones in the Prism collection including the 7900. All of the Prism models are geared toward the female population though some men buy them as well. The main differences that exist between the older and newer models exist within the materials used in the phone body and the dimensions. While the Nokia 6500 Classic is more for the men, Nokia 7900 Prism along with other versions of Prism are basically phones for women. The Nokia 7900 Prism comes in both a black shade and a golden, and while the black is more unisex, the pink of Crystal Prism is definitely geared toward the female population.

The Nokia 7900 Prism has a 1GB internal memory but no slot for memory expansion. Other features of the phone include GPRS Class 32, HSCSD, EDGE Class 32, 3G, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB. It also includes messaging, SMS, MMS and email with a browser that is html enabled. The battery has a talk time of 3 hours and stand by of up to 240 hours. In addition, there is a 2 megapixel CMOS camera with video and flash, an MP3 player, built in hands free device and voice memo.

Although there is very little metal in the phone itself, the main parts are made of metal, thus making it very difficult to break. The phone’s display is 2″ and has a resolution of 240×320 pixels and can reflect up to 16 million colors. The display is the same was what was used in the Nokia 8800 Arte and is of high quality and clarity. In spite of the basics of this phone, those who use it become emotionally attached to it. It is not a high tech phone that takes time to learn how to use bur rather provides basic features that are easy to learn without overdoing it.

The Nokia 7900 Prism is a great phone for someone who needs a basic small camera phone with minimal memory. It still retains the quality of all Nokia phones but does not include all of the fancy features that most users have come to expect. Although it does include an MP3 player, keep in mind that the 1MB of memory is shared among all phone features, so you may not have much stored memory for music files.

The Nokia 7900 Prism is a great little phone for those who don’t need more than the installed memory allows and are not keen on many additional features. It’s also a great phone for someone who is not technically savvy or for a new mobile phone user. If you read a Nokia 7900 Prism review, you will discover how well users enjoy this phone in spite of its limited capabilities. It doesn’t have a great many fancy features, but it works well for a basic user. You are likely to find mobile phone deals on this phone in many regions or online. Though rather inexpensive compared to more technologically advanced mobile phones, cost savings is always appreciated and accepted.
